Fall 2022 - Spring 2023

This course offered students a comprehensive exploration of major events and influential figures in global history. Through the study of historical records, students gained a deep understanding of the pivotal decisions and indecisions that have shaped human history. Engaging discussions, research projects, and critical analysis of primary sources fostered a deep understanding of the complexities and significance of all of human history.

20th Century U.S. History

Fall 2021 - Spring 2022

Students delved into major events and figures that defined the century, exploring the transformative impact of both World Wars and the Cold War on the current international order. Through analyzing key decisions by American and global leaders, students honed their historical thinking skills. The course emphasized understanding technological advancements and political shifts throughout the 1900s, offering a comprehensive view of their influence on society today.


Virginia & U.S. History

Fall 2021 - Spring 2022

Throughout this course, students explored the captivating narrative of the history of the United States and the role that Virginia played in its founding. Students developed a profound understanding of the triumphs and challenges that Americans confronted over the past 250 years. Furthermore, students critically analyzed the profound impact of technology, ever-evolving lifestyles, and the complex and controversial issues that have defined American politics and government, which served to enhance student understanding of complex historical narratives.

Middle School Math Essentials

Summer 2021

This summer course offered an overview of math essential skills for grades 6-8, with a focus on applying algebraic concepts and skills. Students gained proficiency in algebra, the use of fractions and decimals, and were introduced to basic geometry. To enhance learning and build teamwork, we incorporated the game Minecraft, where students engaged in in-game collaborative exercises and completed a class-wide project, applying their mathematical knowledge to real-world scenarios.

English as a Second Language

Fall 2020 - Spring 2021

As an independently contracted English as a second language teacher, I conducted virtual classes for foreign students learning English. These sessions primarily focused on teaching the fundamental pronunciation of frequently used English words. Whether leading group classes or providing one-on-one instruction, I engaged students in interactive activities to enhance their speaking abilities. By the end of the course, students gained a solid foundation in English pronunciation, enabling them to communicate effectively in everyday situations.
